Barnabas was an encouraging bridge builder of relationships in that he introduced and “recommended” Christ-followers to one another (Acts 9:27).
He was renamed Barnabas before he sold the land and brought the money to the apostles, who then distributed it to those in need (see one heart one soul). There is no record in the Bible of anyone being given extra recognition or treatment by the leaders of the church for making a large donation.
